From Bec’s Desk
Isn’t Carly a breath of fresh air - telling us the practical ways we can manage our diet and nutrition and not making it too hard. Since I recorded this podcast, I’ve injected many of her swaps into my life, and given up putting muesli on my yoghurt in the mornings too! Some really useful, everyday things we can do. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
I’m on the road this week, speaking at events for financial advisers and superannuation funds. A real priveledge to be able to help advisers learn more about how they can encourage and support people as they navigate midlife - and maybe some will start to use the six pillars of an epic retirement and some of the new concepts of our Prime Time in their conversations. I’ve presented at Morgans Financial Adviser Conference in beautiful Noosa yesterday, and I’m writing this from the plane to Sydney to present at Allianz Retire + event for the advice and super industry called “How do we make Retirements more epic” as well as doing a more intimate presentation in the retirement industry. Industry folk are welcome at the Allianz Retire + event Thursday morning - find out more on their website.
Then, I’m going into a dark, quiet rabbit hole for one last week to finish the book aptly named after this podcast! It is so close now, the final manuscript is just about done – and just in time for the deadline next week! I’m excited to say it’s packed with fresh ideas for how we can live our Prime Time well. You’ll have to wait for 2025 to get it in your hot little hands – but it’ll be worth the wait.
Of course, the Epic Flagship Course heads into week 2 this week - so we’ll be tapdancing our way through that too.
In case you missed it, last weekend in The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald I did a dive into how you ‘start’ planning for retirement - if you’ve started wondering if you should. Have a read here.
Now get on over and listen to my chat with Carly Barlow.
Catch you next week, and in the meantime, make your Prime Time count!
Many thanks! Bec Wilson
