Work until 70?

Concept can only come from people in cushy jobs with no direct conflict or physical activity - and or don’t have life ambitions outside of work! Those who don’t have to go cap in hand to get time off to look after yourself!

Yep that's me with the cushy job and working from home is fantastic! But before you pass any judgement, I have worked in the trenches as both a sparky and also in the military serving our country, so I worked hard for this desk job...

Exactly. They've likely haven't worked a physical job for years, if at all.

I enjoy my job. It's a job that gives me pleasure.

I'm 65. I would like to work until I'm 70.

"Work" and "Retirement" have new meanings in my eyes since reading your books.

"Retirement" to me is anything that you choose to do that is different from your current every day grindstone income earning "work". For me, "retirement" is choosing to do something I want to do that just happens to bring is some easier earned dollars - think casual work.

"Work" is something I choose to do rather than something I need to do. "Work" can be a hobby or income earning activity - but something you do at your chosen pace / level.

So "working" and moving "retirement" to age 70 is perfectly fine - its just the mindset around what those words mean to you - and I'd be very happy to know that age 70 is the new age 53.

"retirement and work" allows you to be the boss of your choosing.
